Clare College are seeking to appoint a College Maintenance Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking routine and emergency building maintenance works, specifically to carry out cleaning of shower heads, other water hygiene related work, the cleaning of gutters, and assisting the decorating team during peak periods.
Please note that a valid driving licence is required for the post holder to drive the College vehicles. This is a wonderful opportunity to work for the second oldest of the 31 Colleges in the University of Cambridge. Clare’s Old Court, a Grade I listed building, is the centre of the College and is unique among the ancient Cambridge Colleges in having maintained its architectural integrity over the course of its history.
Salary and Benefits
The annual salary is £29,846.27 p.a. and the hours of work are 40 hours per week. In addition to the basic salary, the post holder would be eligible for a bonus every year, meals on duty and will have access to various other benefits. We also offer membership of a defined pension contribution scheme, a Healthcare cash plan and parking subject to availability.
