We are acting as sole agency for a fund management firm seeking to appoint an Investment Compliance Manager in a newly created role. This person will be a key stakeholder within the Compliance function, partnering closely with the business on a day-to-day basis. The role requires a strong investment compliance background and would ideally suit someone with knowledge of, and coding experience in, the BlackRock Aladdin system. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator who can work autonomously when needed and brings excellent product knowledge, particularly across LDI strategies. Strong communication and training skills are essential, as this role will play an important part in the ongoing education and training of staff. The role requires a minimum of three days in the office and will ideally align with market hours, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Job Requirements

  • Manage the Compliance Module on Blackrock Aladdin, overseeing coding, amendments, and resolving trade alerts.
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies to fulfil regulatory obligations, with emphasis on Market Abuse, Regulatory Reporting, EMIR, and Order Execution.
  • Support risk-based compliance monitoring and testing.
  • Address emerging compliance issues with management and third parties.
  • Strong knowledge of LDI strategies for pensions funds.
  • Deliver staff training on compliance policies and procedures.
