Essential duties and responsibilities

β’ Supporting MSSQL, MYSQL and Postgres Database platforms. This will include:
o Troubleshooting
o Monitoring
o Optimisation/tuning of system performance
o Database Migration
o Security
o Reporting
β’ On-Call for fourth-line support 24/ rota7.
β’ Automation of all support activities including backups, patching, and script deployments.
β’ Accompany customers towards Cloud technologies, PaaS data platforms and other cloud-native Data Services.
β’ Ensure the storage, processing, and quality of customer data
β’ You will be expected to deliver large-scale data migration and/or modernisation projects
β’ Youβll support and manage the environments of key strategic customers.
β’ You\’ll shadow and mentor other engineers to help them resolve complex support issues
β’ You\’ll engage with key customer stakeholders in technical, pre-sales and commercial conversations
β’ You\’ll be expected to deliver workshops (either standard or bespoke) to customers
β’ You\’ll be able to produce new written technical content for external use by our customers
β’ You\’ll be required to present content to a mixed-skilled audience
