A Strong Opportunity for an Experienced Conveyancer

We are working with a well-regarded law firm looking to recruit an experienced Residential Conveyancer (5+ PQE) to join its busy and established property team in St Albans. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident fee earner seeking a role with autonomy, a consistent flow of quality work, and a supportive team environment.

The Role

You will manage a full and varied caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to completion, including:

  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Re-mortgages
  • Transfers of equity
  • Voluntary registrations

You will be responsible for the entire conveyancing process, including:

  • Reviewing title, searches and enquiries
  • Drafting and approving contracts and transfer documentation
  • Handling exchanges and completions
  • Managing post-completion matters, including SDLT and Land Registry submissions

This is a role offering a high degree of independence, suited to someone comfortable running files with minimal supervision while maintaining excellent client service standards.

You’ll be joining a busy and well-structured Residential Property team with a strong reputation and steady workflow. The culture is professional but approachable, with an emphasis on:

About You

This role would suit someone who:

  • Is a Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor or Legal Executive
  • Has 5+ years’ experience in residential conveyancing
  • Is confident managing a full caseload independently
  • Has strong technical knowledge across the conveyancing process
  • Is organised, detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities
  • Has excellent communication and client care skills
  • Is commercially aware and takes a practical, solutions-focused approach

Additional Experience (Beneficial but Not Essential)

  • New build transactions
  • Shared ownership or Help to Buy matters
  • Lease extensions
  • Experience mentoring junior staff
  • Familiarity with case management systems such as Leap
