Braintree – Full time, permanent. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Residential Property solicitor or Senior Chartered Legal Executive to step into a well established role with real influence. Following a retirement, you will inherit an existing and loyal caseload while also having the space and support to grow new relationships within the local community and residential property market. You will join a respected and busy Residential Property team that handles a broad range of work, from mainstream sales and purchases to more complex title and finance matters. The culture is collaborative, supportive and forward thinking, with genuine scope to progress into senior leadership.

The work: You will handle the full lifecycle of residential property transactions, including:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Remortgages and transfers of equity
- Transfers of part and deeds of easement
- Variations and releases
- Equity release matters
- Bridging and non regulated finance
- Trust transfers and estate related property work
- Small development sales
Alongside your own caseload, you will:
- Support and mentor junior colleagues
- Play an active role in client development and relationship building
- Contribute to departmental strategy and wider firm initiatives
- At Senior Associate level, be involved in leadership, business planning and growth projects
About you:
- Qualified solicitor or Senior Chartered Legal Executive
- Around 6+ years’ PQE in residential property and land law
- Confident managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision
- Strong technical ability beyond process driven conveyancing
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior colleagues
- Commercially aware, proactive and client focused
- A confident communicator who enjoys building long term relationships
