An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a talented and motivated lawyer to join a highly regarded Construction team within a leading firm. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse client base, engaging in high-quality matters and enjoying the support of a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
The Role
We are seeking a lawyer with 8+ years’ PQE to play a key role in a busy and well-respected Construction department. The successful candidate will be managing their own matters while also supporting colleagues across a variety of cases. You will be advising developers, contractors, subcontractors, and construction professionals, providing practical, commercial solutions. Experience in contentious construction matters is essential, particularly in adjudications and Technology & Construction Court work. While not essential, experience in non-contentious work and business development would be advantageous.
About You
- Skilled in running their own caseload and managing financial aspects effectively
- Confident in handling client meetings, both in person and remotely
- Able to provide clear, commercial advice supported by strong legal research
- An excellent communicator, with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Academically strong, with a minimum of a 2:1 degree classification
- Additional strengths such as non-contentious construction knowledge, business development experience, or a flair for presenting would be highly valued.
