The Team
The Private Client team works across multiple East Anglia offices, advising clients on the full spectrum of lifetime planning, including:
- Wills and trusts
- Complex lifetime tax planning
- Estate administration
- Powers of attorney
- Court of Protection work
Team members are based in Ipswich, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, and Norwich, sharing work, expertise, and support across offices. You’ll gain exposure to a wide variety of cases and never be limited to a single location or type of work.
The Role
This position is ideal for a Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with around 1–2 years’ post‑qualification experience who is ready to take the next step and gain responsibility while still receiving strong support and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing your own caseload with sound financial management
- Drafting documents, letters and client advice
- Conducting face‑to‑face and remote client meetings
- Advising on wills, trusts, probate, powers of attorney and lifetime planning
- Conducting legal research and keeping up‑to‑date with developments
- Supporting, mentoring, and coaching junior team members
- Collaborating across offices as needed to support client work
- Assisting with business development initiatives
- Making effective use of technology and case management systems
