Are you a Private Client Solicitor with experience in charity law, looking for your next career move? We’re delighted to be supporting a highly regarded law firm that is seeking an experienced lawyer to join its specialist Charity practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting charities of all sizes, enjoys working closely with trustees, and wants to be part of a collaborative team that is committed to excellence and client care.

About the Role

You’ll play a key role in supporting the firm’s charity clients across a wide range of matters, including:

  • Creating and registering new charitable entities.
  • Advising trustees on their role, duties, and powers.
  • Supporting charity mergers and asset transfers.
  • Preparing policies and governance documentation.
  • Closing and de-registering charities.
  • Liaising with the Charity Commission and advising on regulatory issues.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in property and employment on charity-related matters.

Alongside your client work, you’ll also be involved in:

  • Supervising and mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Business development and networking to grow the charity practice.
  • Contributing to the wider success of the Private Client team.

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

  • A Solicitor with at least 5 years’ PQE, with solid experience working with charities of different sizes.
  • Confident in applying legal principles and exercising sound judgment.
  • Dedicated to delivering high-quality work and excellent client service.
  • Approachable and able to build strong, trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Enthusiastic about sharing your knowledge and developing junior team members.
