Are you an experienced Private Client lawyer looking to work on genuinely complex, high-value matters within one of the region’s most highly regarded and fast-growing teams? We are working with a leading law firm seeking a Senior Associate to join its expanding Private Client team in Cambridge. This is an exceptional opportunity for a technically strong lawyer who enjoys sophisticated advisory work, close collaboration with respected senior lawyers, and building long-term relationships with high-net-worth clients. The Opportunity
This highly ranked Private Client team advises a broad range of clients including:
- High-net-worth individuals
- Trustees and family offices
- Entrepreneurs and business owners
- Landowners and multi-generational families
The work is varied, intellectually engaging and often cross-disciplinary, with regular collaboration alongside colleagues in corporate, real estate and family law. You will handle a broad range of complex private client matters including:
- Estate and succession planning
- Inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning
- Complex wills and estate structuring
- Trust creation and administration
- Trustee powers, duties and disputes-related advisory work
Alongside managing your own caseload, you will work closely with highly respected senior lawyers on significant matters and play a visible role in the continued growth of the team.
About You
The firm is keen to hear from Private Client lawyers with 4+ PQE, ideally gained within a respected regional, national or City firm environment. You will likely have:
- Strong technical private client experience
- Experience advising HNW individuals, trustees or business owners
- Confidence managing your own matters independently
- Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills
- A collaborative and commercially aware approach
STEP qualification, or progress towards it, would be advantageous but is not essential. This role would particularly suit someone looking to step into a more sophisticated and rewarding quality of work while remaining within a supportive and modern culture.
