Employ Me
Employ Me is an employability programme delivered by Clanrye Group in partnership with SRC (Lead), Community Advice and Women’s Aid. The programme provides training, employability and wraparound support for economically inactive people aged 16+ to reduce job related barriers, develop skills, and enhance employability to enable progression to employment/self-employment.
Summary of Position
We are seeking a Key Worker to support the delivery of Clanrye Group’s employability programmes. The role will involve working on a one-to-one basis with participants to assess individual needs, identify and address barriers, and provide tailored, person-centred support to enable progression. The post holder will deliver holistic, wraparound support, coordinate appropriate interventions and work collaboratively with internal teams, employers and external partners to assist participants to secure, remain and progress in employment, education or training while contributing to the achievement of organisational priorities and KPI targets across programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Job Specific Duties
- Assist with recruitment and promotion of programmes to ensure KPI targets are met
- Carry out participant inductions, complete required documentation and manage an active caseload.
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to identify barriers, learning needs, wellbeing issues and employability skills gaps.
- Develop and maintain SMART, person-centred plans outlining tailored training, support and career pathways.
- Provide holistic, wraparound support including mentoring, pastoral care, advocacy and targeted interventions.
- Deliver practical employability support including job search, CV development, applications and interview preparation through one-to-one and group sessions.
- Coordinate and deliver workshops, masterclasses and development activities to support personal development and enhance employability and work-readiness.
- Engage and build relationships with employers, education providers and external partners to identify opportunities for external engagement promoting Employ Me and other programmes across the organisation.
- Support participants to secure and sustain employment or apprenticeship opportunities with suitable employers.
- Source and facilitate work placements, job sampling, volunteering, employment aligned to participant goals.
- Monitor and review participant progress, ensuring timely achievement of outcomes and continuous updating of plans.
- Ensure services are accessible and inclusive for all participants, including those in remote areas.
- Work collaboratively across programmes to support delivery targets and KPIs, contributing to reporting requirements and providing regular updates to management.
Operational Duties
- Carry out assigned tasks in accordance with established procedures, schedules, and instructions.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, maintenance, or service delivery in assigned areas or functions.
- Use equipment, tools, and materials safely and appropriately, following training and guidance.
- Report faults, hazards, health and safety concerns, or equipment failures to line manager promptly.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) where required.
Communication and Teamwork
- Work cooperatively with colleagues to ensure smooth operation of services.
- Interact courteously and professionally with staff, service users, visitors, and contractors.
- Report any concerns, incidents, or issues to line manager in a timely manner.
Compliance and Standards
- Follow Clanrye Group policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain appropriate standards of hygiene, presentation, and conduct.
- Complete any required records, checklists, or logs accurately and on time.
Supervision and Autonomy
The post holder works with a degree of autonomy in managing their caseload, planning day-to-day activities and responding to participants’ individual needs, in line with agreed procedures and programme requirements. Regular support, guidance and supervision are provided by the line manager, with more complex or non-routine matters referred for advice.
Decision-Making
Makes day-to-day decisions in managing their caseload, including prioritising participant needs, planning appropriate support and agreeing actions and referrals. Exercises professional judgement within agreed procedures and programme requirements, referring more complex or non-routine matters to their line manager for guidance.
People Management
No line management, supervisory, or coordination responsibility.
No budget responsibility. May handle small amounts of cash or petty cash in line with procedures (e.g., bus fares, vending), where applicable.
Safeguarding Responsibility
All Clanrye Group staff have a duty to recognise and report safeguarding concerns relating to children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
The post holder must:
- Remain alert to signs of harm, abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
- Report any safeguarding concerns immediately to line manager or the Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Qualifications and Training
- Good standard of Education to include Maths and English at a grade C or equivalent. (E)
- Good IT skills – to present data using Microsoft packages or suitable alternative (E)
Experience
- 1 years’ experience in a similar role (E)
- Relevant third level qualification. (E)
- Experience of working with employers and training organisations (E)
- Proven experience of supporting individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds and
- with varying levels of need and barriers (E)
- Experience of identifying participants’ individual goals, action planning, arranging targeted support and interventions and the ability to progress them on their journey to find employment (E)
- Highly competent in using ICT with excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite to include SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. (E)
