We do what we say. That’s why we need people like you, to help us deliver on our promises, people who enjoy getting things done! We are looking for a Reinstatement Runner to join our team, supporting reinstatement crews across a variety of operational works. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career within utilities, highways or reinstatement works, gaining hands-on experience as part of a busy and supportive team. You’ll play an important role in helping sites run efficiently, supporting operatives and supervisors while ensuring works are completed safely and to the required standards.
Here are some of the activities you will be involved with:
- Transporting tools, materials and equipment between sites
- Supporting site set-up and clear-down activities in line with Streetworks and safety requirements
- Assisting with footpath, road and verge reinstatement works under supervision
- Working alongside teams across both reactive and planned works to help minimise downtime and disruption
- Helping ensure sites remain compliant with Scottish Water quality and safety standards
- Working closely with operatives, supervisors and depot teams to keep works progressing efficiently
- Supporting general reinstatement activities and day-to-day operational tasks as required
We would love to hear from you if you’re practical, reliable and enjoy working as part of a team in a hands-on environment. Previous experience within utilities, highways, labouring or Streetworks would be beneficial, although not essential, and an interest in developing a career within reinstatement or utilities is important. A full UK driving licence would be advantageous due to travel between sites. You should also be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and willing to learn new skills and qualifications.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience within a long-term framework environment while developing your career with a supportive and established team.
