We have an opportunity for an experienced New Connections Manager to join our team supporting the Southern Water contract.

You’ll be responsible for leading the New Connections team, ensuring workloads are planned and delivered efficiently while maintaining excellent service levels for both our client and customers. Working closely with operational teams and stakeholders, you'll help ensure works are completed safely, compliantly and in line with both legislative and client requirements.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved with…

  • Leading, supporting and developing the New Connections team
  • Planning and managing workloads to ensure works are delivered in line with legislative requirements and client timescales
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with Southern Water, customers and internal stakeholders
  • Monitoring team performance and driving the successful delivery of operational objectives
  • Managing customer enquiries and supporting the resolution of escalated issues
  • Using a range of management systems to plan, monitor and report on workloads and performance
  • Working collaboratively with operational and support teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures, health and safety requirements and client standards

We would love to hear from you if…

You have previous experience managing teams within the utilities sector and are confident leading people in a busy operational environment. You'll have a strong understanding of workload planning and resource management, together with the ability to balance customer expectations with operational priorities.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as you'll be working closely with clients, customers and colleagues across the business. You'll be organised, proactive and comfortable using a range of management systems to plan, monitor and report on operational performance.

Demonstratable utilities experience is essential, along with a full UK driving licence.
