The Role: We are looking to recruit a permanent Support Driver/Barrier Person to assist our site teams. Here are just some of the activities you’ll be involved in:
- Ensure the safe operation of vehicle & plant machinery.
- Assist teams carrying out works in the highway and on private property and premises across the Hartlepool area, helping to set up and close work sites, delivering signs & barriers, running out fittings to the team and letter drops.
- Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring sites are safe prior to start and following completion of work.
- Minimise disruption to residents.
We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate:
- A full UK driving licence and must be able to tow a trailer.
- A NRSWA (Streetworks) Units 1 and 2 is preferable for this role.
- The work is physically demanding, so you must be comfortable with manual work and being outdoors in all weather conditions.
- A good sense of direction is important, and you should be confident working alone when required.
- Comfortable using IT, including mobile phones and tablets, to manage job information and site updates.
- A CSCS Card and an abrasive wheels qualification would be beneficial but are not essential.
