The Role:
The Operational Support Lead is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of support activities across the contract. Working closely with operational teams, managers, clients and other stakeholders, they help maintain consistent processes, meet compliance requirements and support the delivery of high quality services.
You will be confident making decisions, solving problems and identifying opportunities to improve processes and performance. By using data, technology and operational insight, you will help identify risks, resolve issues and support continuous improvement across the contract.
Here are some of the activities you will be involved in…
- Coordinating day to day operational support activities, ensuring work is completed accurately, on time and in line with agreed processes.
- Providing guidance and resolving queries, working closely with operational teams, managers, clients and other stakeholders to keep services running smoothly.
- Maintaining clear and effective processes, records and performance information to support compliance, reporting and decision-making.
- Using data, feedback and operational insight to identify trends, manage risks and find opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, helping to implement new ways of working, make the best use of technology and measure the benefits achieved.
- Building strong relationships across teams and representing operational support at meetings, audits and reviews, providing updates and helping to resolve issues.
- Supporting and developing colleagues by sharing knowledge, setting priorities and ensuring a high standard of work across the team.

Experience in operational support, contract administration or service delivery, with strong organisational and problem solving skills. You will be confident using Excel and other digital tools to analyse data, produce reports and support decision making. You'll be able to manage competing priorities, build effective relationships with stakeholders and communicate clearly, while maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality and compliance. Experience leading or supporting others would be an advantage. Relevant qualifications or experience in business improvement, digital innovation or leadership would be desirable.
