This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Site Manager who enjoys leading teams, managing complex construction activities and playing a key role in delivering projects safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site delivery, coordinating site teams and subcontractors, and ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and in line with client requirements. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, commercial teams and Southern Water representatives, building strong relationships and helping deliver critical infrastructure that supports communities for the future.

Here are some of the activities you’ll be involved in...

  • Managing the safe and efficient delivery of pipeline construction works from site set-up through to completion.
  • Leading site teams, subcontractors and operational resources to ensure works are delivered effectively.
  • Coordinating daily site activities, including planning, progress monitoring and resource management.
  • Ensuring works are completed in accordance with project specifications, drawings, quality requirements and programme milestones.
  • Working closely with Site Engineers to support setting out, inspections, quality records and technical delivery.
  • Managing health, safety, quality and environmental standards across site activities.
  • Ensuring permits, RAMS, temporary works and safe systems of work are implemented effectively.
  • Supporting programme management, identifying risks and resolving challenges to maintain progress.
  • Building positive relationships with Southern Water representatives, stakeholders and supply chain partners.
  • Monitoring productivity, quality and workmanship, promoting continuous improvement across the project.
  • Supporting project reporting, progress updates and commercial awareness through effective site management.

We’d love to hear from you if...

You have proven experience as a Site Manager within the water, utilities, civils or infrastructure sectors and are confident managing complex construction activities in a fast-paced delivery environment.

Along with experience delivering pipeline or civil engineering projects and understand the requirements of working within a regulated utility environment. Experience delivering clean water infrastructure, mains installation or large-scale pipeline projects would be highly advantageous.

You’ll be an excellent leader who can motivate teams, manage subcontractors and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. With a strong understanding of health and safety, quality and environmental requirements, with the ability to promote a positive safety culture and ensure high standards are maintained across site.

Ideally you will have experience working within an NEC contract environment and be comfortable supporting programme delivery, identifying risks and contributing to successful project outcomes.

A SMSTS qualification, CSCS Black Manager Card and EUSR Water Hygiene are desirable, along with a full and valid UK driving licence.
