We’re looking for an experienced Foreman to join our team, supporting the successful delivery of our Southern Water contract and helping to deliver essential water infrastructure across the region.

You will play a key role in supporting the Site Manager and wider delivery team, helping to coordinate site operations and ensuring construction activities are completed safely, on programme and to a high standard. Responsible for supervising site teams, supporting productivity and maintaining strong standards of health, safety, quality and environmental performance across the works.

Here are some of the activities you’ll be involved in...

  • Supervising and coordinating site teams to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.
  • Organising daily activities, allocating resources and monitoring progress against programme requirements.
  • Supporting the Site Manager with the delivery of pipeline and civil engineering works.
  • Ensuring site teams are working in accordance with drawings, specifications, RAMS and safe systems of work.
  • Carrying out regular site checks and promoting a positive health and safety culture.
  • Leading toolbox talks, briefings and supporting effective communication across the team.
  • Monitoring workmanship and ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the works.
  • Working closely with Site Engineers to support setting out, inspections and technical requirements.
  • Coordinating subcontractors, plant and materials to support smooth project delivery.
  • Identifying issues on site and working with the wider team to resolve challenges quickly and effectively.
  • Supporting progress updates, reporting and maintaining accurate site records.
  • Encouraging a collaborative approach and supporting the development of site operatives.

We’d love to hear from you if...

You have previous experience working as a Foreman or General Foreman within the water, utilities, civils or infrastructure sectors. Demonstrable experience supervising construction teams and a good understanding of delivering pipeline, groundwork or civil engineering activities safely and efficiently. Additionally, knowledge of water infrastructure, clean water pipelines, utilities projects or large-scale civils schemes would be highly advantageous, together with an understanding of working within a regulated utility environment.

You’ll be confident leading teams, communicating effectively with site management and ensuring that work is completed to the required quality and safety standards. With a proactive approach, strong organisational skills and the ability to solve problems and make decisions on site while maintaining a focus on safe delivery.

A SSSTS or SMSTS qualification, CSCS card, EUSR Water Hygiene qualification are desirable.

A full UK Driving Licence is also required.
