We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Music and Drama Performing Arts Teacher to join our highly committed and professional team in our Junior and Senior School. The post would suit a flexible practitioner committed to raising standards at all levels, delivering excellent lessons and enthusing pupils through their passion for teaching Music and Drama primarily at KS1, KS2 and KS3.

This is a full time post required from September 2026, or October 2026, or January 2027 and is suitable for those wishing to teach KS1, KS2 and KS3 with the capacity to cover KS4 and KS5 if needed for cover.

Requirements

  • Suitably qualified with QTS
  • Experienced at teaching Music and Drama at KS1, KS2 and KS3
  • Passionate about furthering the development of vocal and instrumental ensembles across the school and raising student participation
  • Ideally able to cover GCSE Music and Drama, and if interested Music Technology at A-level
  • Passionate about pastoral care, with relevant skills and experience
  • Enthusiastic team player with excellent interpersonal skills, willing to participate fully in the school’s extra-curricular programme and broader school life
  • Engaged with the school’s ethos, thinking creatively and reflectively within an open, honest, hardworking team
  • Ready to utilise the benefits of and help shape an independent curriculum that is innovative and flexible in terms of delivery and content
  • Above all, want the best for pupils and put their needs first, recognising the importance of educating the whole child within a broad curricular and co-curricular programme and achieving high standards
