Claire House Children's Hospice is seeking an inspiring and innovative Practice Education Lead

to drive excellence in learning, professional development and clinical practice across our hospice and community services. The Opportunity

Lead and develop Claire House's Practice Education Team

Design and deliver innovative education programmes for all care and family services teams

Oversee mandatory training compliance and workforce development

Create a positive learning culture that supports professional growth and clinical excellence

Build strong partnerships with universities, NHS organisations, hospices and regional networks

Lead on all student placements

Contribute to quality improvement, research and strategic workforce planning

Develop new educational opportunities and income-generating initiatives that support future growth

You'll work closely with senior clinical leaders and multidisciplinary teams to ensure learning and development remains at the forefront of everything we do.

About You

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced registered nurse who can inspire others and lead with confidence.

Essential

  • Registered Nurse (Adult, Child or Learning Disability) with active NMC registration
  • Significant post-registration clinical experience
  • Extensive experience in clinical teaching, assessment and education
  • Experience of developing, delivering and evaluating training programmes
  • Leadership and people management experience
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement and workforce development
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
  • Passion for supporting others to achieve their full potential
