This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start a career in charity fundraising or gain experience in events fundraising. You do not need previous fundraising experience — full training and support will be provided. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
You will be the lead for all running and challenge income and will be responsible for maintaining excellent stewardship for our supporters. You will liaise with external event organisers, individuals fundraising for the charity, and promote our events calendar internally across the charity, so strong communication skills are key. Running income in particular is vitally important for Claire House, and your focus will particularly be on our 2026 Santa Dash, 2027 Liverpool Half Marathon and 2027 London Marathon partnerships, maximising income and engagement. You will play an important role in helping us deliver memorable experiences for our supporters while raising vital funds for children and families supported by Claire House.
Training and Development
We are committed to helping you develop your skills and confidence. You will receive support and guidance from the wider fundraising team throughout your role. Training may include:
- Supporter care and fundraising skills
- Database and administration systems
- Communication and relationship building
You will be encouraged to develop new skills and gain experience within the charity sector.

- Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail, including maintaining accurate records on CRM systems
- Be a team player, able to collaborate effectively across fundraising, volunteering, and marketing teams
- Show creativity and enthusiasm when supporting events and producing engaging content
- Be proactive and willing to learn, with an interest in fundraising and supporter engagement
- Be flexible and happy to support events, including some evenings and weekends
- Represent Claire House professionally within the community
- Be IT literate
