We are working with one of the UK'sfastest-growing technology consultancies, ranked in the Financial Times FT1000Europe's Fastest-Growing Companies list in both 2025 and 2026, as they look fora Product Technical Lead to join their business.
The successful candidate will take ownership of theirestablished AI enabled software product, guiding it through its next phase ofevolution across roadmap, scalability, and user experience, while also playinga key role in shaping and building new product ideas from the ground up.
This is a hands‑on leadership role blending strategic technicaldirection with active development, working closely with product and businessteams to make architectural decisions and deliver high-quality,production-ready software that meets real-world needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the technicaldesign, architecture, and implementation of a complex, user-facingsoftware product, taking features from definition through to release.
- Working closely with theProduct Manager to translate product goals into technical plans,milestones, and deliverables, guiding the team through Agile deliverycycles including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Making key architecturaldecisions to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability, whilecontinuously improving development processes and infrastructure.
- Establishing andupholding engineering best practices across code quality, testing,documentation, and security, including conducting code reviews andmentoring developers.
- Collaborating with UX /UI designers to ensure technical feasibility and an excellent userexperience.
Key Requirements
- Degree educated, with astrong background in software engineering and proven experience deliveringend-to-end software products.
- Proven ability to leador mentor development teams within an Agile environment.
- Advanced Pythondevelopment skills, ideally with FastAPI or similar frameworks, and astrong understanding of relational databases, schema design, and SQL.
- Experience designingscalable systems and working with cloud infrastructure and CI / CDpipelines.
- Familiarity withfront-end development (TypeScript, React) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communicationskills, able to collaborate with both technical and non-technicalstakeholders, with a product-oriented mindset and a genuine care forusability and user outcomes.
- Experience in cybersecurity, data-driven applications, or SaaS platforms is advantageous.
Due to the nature of the clients and projectssupported by this role, all candidates must be British nationals and eligibleto obtain UK Security Clearance (SC). Candidates holding dual nationality ormultiple passports are unfortunately unable to be considered for this position.
