Weare recruiting for a Project Manager on behalf of a Fintech business based inSt Albans.
Thesuccessful candidate willlead a team through the project lifecycle byplanning, scheduling and tracking a project plan on assigned projects.Theywill ensure that bespoke software solutions are delivered to clients within thetimescales required and to the quality expected, making sure all deliverablesfall within the applicable scope and budget.
KeyResponsibilities
- Workingclosely with external client Project Managers and stakeholders tounderstand business requirements and project scope.
- LeadingBusiness Requirements gathering and workshops, ensuring completion ofas-is and to-be documentation.
- Workingwith business analysts and developers to ensure that optimum fitsolutions are designed and BRD and functional solution specificationsare documented.
- DefiningProject Plans covering key deliverables, resource requirements, budgetand work plan using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Advisingthe IT Programme and Project Manager of significant departures from theagreed plans.
- Workingwith the IT Programme and Project Manager and Head of IT to agree thescheduling of all development, testing and releases to production.
- Managing,monitoring and motivating the cross functional teams assigned to theproject.
- Ensuringthat defined governance processes are followed for the full projectlifecycle through to testing and Live Installation.
KeyRequirements
- Ideally 2-3 years’ experience gained in successfulproject implementation in a software delivery environment.
- Experience gained in the Financial Services sector iskey for the role.
- Experience across the full project lifecycle, includinginitiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure.
- PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner or recognisedProject Management accreditation.
- Competent with MS Office, including Word, Excel,PowerPoint and Project 2010.
- Good commercial awareness of the marketplace.
- Experience delivering software change and technologies.
- Competent knowledge of Software DevelopmentLifecycle.
