We are recruiting for a Ceded Reinsurance Senior Reinsurance Technician on a 6 month fixed term basis on behalf of an international specialty insurer and reinsurer in London. The successful candidate will support the Ceded Re team, in the administration of various Ceded Re activities, focussing more directly on pre-bind purchase activities, as well as actively working across tactical and strategic projects to increase efficiency and quality of processes. This role is a 6-month fixed term contract, with the option to start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrating pre-bind ceded reinsurance activities, including submission packs, security compliance and operational feasibility.
- Liaising, rinsing and cleansing underwriting data from underwriting systems.
- Liaising and co-ordinating broker communications and messaging both on the placement and operations side of the business.
- Understanding, implementing and managing updates to various Ceded Re policies and procedures.
- Managing Ceded Re Collateral reporting and adequacy.
- Maintaining and enhancing ceded reinsurance metrics and dashboard.
- Participating in cross functional projects and initiatives.
- Assisting in the co-ordination and facilitation of reinsurer audits.
- Preparing and updating Group and Entity Programme schematics.
- Preparing US and UK MGA ceded data.
Key Requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience in Reinsurance / Outward Reinsurance.
- Understanding of London Market insurance.
- Ability to work with large numerical datasets.
- Strong team player.
- Solution Focused - driving constant change and improvement.
- Enthusiasm to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Constructively challenge / hold us and our teams to account.
