Property Binders Claims Adjuster
London
Negotiable Salary + Excellent Benefits
We are currently recruiting for a Property Binders Claims Adjuster on behalf of our client, a very highly regarded and well-known Lloyd’s Syndicate and (re)insurer.
The successful candidate will proactively handle and adjust a portfolio of Property Binder Claims from initial notification through to settlement.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively adjusting Property Binders claims within a set claims authority level.
- Developing a thorough understanding of claims within the Property portfolio.
- Building collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, in particular with Underwriters and Actuaries.
- Instructing and proactively working with Panel Lawyers, Adjusters and experts, ensuring the best outcomes whilst controlling costs and reducing claims leakage.
- Ensuring delegated claims are managed effectively, with excellent technical oversight of TPAs / Service Providers via regular contact meetings, peer reviews, technical file reviews, and general sharing of best practice.
Key Requirements
- Experience of North American and UK delegated claims handling, ideally gained within the Lloyd's Market, is preferred. However, candidates with strong Commercial Property experience will also be considered.
- Claims technical expertise, including policy coverage, claims negotiation skills, and claims strategy.
- Ability to manage complex issues and problems, and escalate as needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
