Job Description

We are recruiting for a Senior Claims Broker - Casualty on behalf of a well respected specialist insurance and reinsurance broker.

The successful candidate will deal with all aspects of casualty claims, processing from first advice through to settlement. The role requires a proven claims professional with prior experience of handling Energy and US Casualty claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing own accounts and liaising with brokers, account handlers and clients on a regular basis.
  • Creating and maintaining claims files.
  • Inputting document details on to the in-house system.
  • Assessing and processing claims and premiums.
  • Producing and sending advice and collection documentation, including broking to the London Market where required.
  • Obtaining agreement to advices and collections via CLASS/ECF system.
  • Liaising with the Insurance Accounts Department to ensure prompt payments of claims.
  • Conducting business meetings with clients and reinsurers.
  • Developing and managing relationships with market representatives.
  • Monitoring existing book of business to identify threats or weaknesses early.
