- Investigating and analysing data to identify meaningful insights, applying statistical and evidence-based techniques to inform actions.
- Communicating technical content clearly to both internal teams and clients, presenting a compelling narrative of the data using data science tooling.
- Building maintainable code using existing data science libraries, implementing established techniques or developing novel approaches as required.
- Designing, evaluating, and implementing on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid data science and machine learning techniques and algorithms, including testing, risk identification, and mitigation.
- Developing scalable models and algorithms suitable for production deployment.
- Applying ethical principles in handling data.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of degree-level industry experience in data science, with a background in a STEM subject.
- Experience working in a consultancy, engineering, or data industry.
- Experience leading client delivery across data science, data engineering, and data security projects, with proven Python skills applied to data science.
- Experience working on cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tooling to analyse, build, test, and deploy code.
- Experience in database technologies including SQL, NoSQL such as Elasticsearch, and graph databases.
- Solid understanding of coding best practices, design patterns, versioning, dependency management, code quality, optimisation, error handling, logging, monitoring, and alerting.
- Demonstrable continuous personal development and strong interpersonal skills.
If you enjoy untangling complex data problems, thrive in uncertain environments, and want to be part of a team that is agile, collaborative, and genuinely daring, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
