We are recruiting for a Claims Manager – Liability and FinPro on behalf of a well respected Lloyd\’s Market Insurer. Role Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied claims portfolio consisting of international Casualty, Professional Liability, D&O / Financial Lines, Marine and Energy Liability. Key Responsibilities Proactively handling lead and agreement party claims from first advice to settlement. Fostering good relationships with policyholders, brokers, underwriters and reinsurers. Ensuring prompt and accurate reserving, identifying and pursuing relevant third party recoveries and salvage opportunities. Prioritising where necessary, identifying deadlines, stipulated by lawsuits, demand letters and claims queries. Participating in client meetings and market meetings, delivering on the claims proposition. Working closely with underwriters providing feedback on claims issues, trends and market intelligence. Providing case specific direction, mentoring and developing team member(s). Key Requirements Strong understanding of the Liability and / or FinPro insurance sector. Experience in handling claims arising from relevant lines of business. Previous experience of insurance products as either a senior claims handler or broker. Solid understanding of relevant sector policy wordings. Experience mentoring and / or managing team members. Sound computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and use of a London Market claims management system. Excellent communication skills and capable of credibly speaking to clients, internal and external stakeholders and leading market meetings and settlement negotiations.
