We are recruiting for a Claims Adjuster – Professional and Financial Lines on behalf of a highly regarded Lloyd’s Syndicate. The successful candidate will support the Claims Manager and be responsible for the proactive handling of Professional and Financial Lines claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling claims arising from Professional Indemnity, Financial Institutions, Directors' & Officers' Liability and Transactional Liability lines of business from FNOL to settlement.
- Ensuring early 'best estimate' reserves are in place and valid claims are settled promptly, with a tight control of costs throughout the lifecycle.
- Participating in and promoting a respectful culture of open communication, collaboration, dynamic claims adjustment and continuous improvement.
- Supporting Claims Manager in providing insight to clients and business to inform better business decisions and help clients prevent and mitigate losses.
- Supporting Claims Manager in their liaison with underwriters to create a compelling proposition to attract and retain desired business and provide support.
- Building and developing relationships with peers, brokers and service providers in the market.
- Supporting required claims team strategic objectives and participate in business modernisation.
Key Requirements
- Proven (2+ years') experience in handling London Market claims handling, including relationships with experts, brokers and co-insurers.
- Degree / CII or similar professional qualification is desirable.
- Foundational understanding of key principles and practices of London Market.
- London Market Claims System is advantageous, as well as Microsoft Office knowledge e.g. ECF, Excel.
- Ability to build trust and manage relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
- Holds a solution focussed mindset and an interest in developing the ability to break down complex issues and spot trends, patterns and interdependencies.
- Willingness to travel and attend client events.
