We are recruiting for a Metadata Lead on behalf of one of the UK's most recognised and celebrated personal lines insurers.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the enterprise metadata capability, shaping how data is discovered, governed and trusted across the organisation. They will own the vision and roadmap for the metadata tooling landscape, and will translate technical and regulatory needs into scalable, business-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Designing, owning and delivering the metadata roadmap.
- Leading Collibra and Unity Catalog configuration, rollout, and value realisation plans.
- Using metadata tooling and processes to enable the effective delivery of Data Governance & Data Quality outcomes with key stakeholders.
- Promoting metadata tooling purpose and value through data forums, workshops and demos.
- Using metadata tooling capability to optimise and automate data governance processes, as well as support major data migration and business integration programmes.
Key Requirements
- Collibra specialist with solid data cataloguing and lineage knowledge, as well as strong Databricks Unity Catalog experience.
- Experience in designing and executing against delivery roadmaps that are underpinned by purposeful outcomes and value.
- Ability to translate technical solutions into clear and understandable business outcomes and value.
- Excellent understanding of Data Governance / Data Quality best practice and strong experience of using metadata tooling capabilities to deliver business value.
- Experience developing junior data governance and data quality stakeholders.
