We are recruitingfor a Senior Claims Adjuster - Construction on behalfofa leading London Market Insurer.
The successfulcandidate willhandle First Party and Third-Party Liability claimsoriginating from CAR/EAR policies from FNOL to settlement and recovery.
KeyResponsibilities
- Undertaking initial evaluation of cause of loss to determinewhether a claim is covered and what further information may be required.
- Investigating, negotiating and settling claims within statutory andcompany guidelines.
- Assisting in setting accurate, realistic and timely claim reserves.
- Liaising with clients, insurers, brokers, loss adjusters,solicitors, experts and internal teams to coordinate claims and addressinformational, procedural and authority requirements.
- Maintaining accurate records for auditing and regulatory purposes,preparing reports as necessary.
- Ensuring accurate inputting of claims data to support portfolioreporting and management information (MI).
Key Requirements
- Third Party Liability CAR/EAR claims handling experience.
- Experience of London Company market in CAR/EAR and Engineeringmatters.
- Experience of JCT/ LEG/ DE.
- Experience of market meetings in a lead or follow capacity.
- Good general knowledge and understanding of insurance principles.
- General awareness of current regulation, case law, and marketissues.
- Good working knowledge of claims portal.
- Excellent communication,negotiation and report writingskills.
