Claims Adjuster in City of London

We are recruiting for a Claims Adjuster, Commercial D&O and Transactional Liability on behalf of an extremely well-regarded London Market Insurer.

The successful candidate will evaluate and process claims accurately, as well as use analytics and insights to drive continuous improvement in the use of TPAs and third-party experts.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigating and resolving a range of claims of a specialist nature.
• Supporting data analysis and reporting to help monitor claims performance.
• Managing estimates and billings calculated by clients and brokers to resolve discrepancies.
• Identifying subrogation, contribution and other recovery issues.
• Supporting the management of disputed or material claims issues.
• Ensuring claims files are compiled and maintained in a logical and accessible manner and that items are clearly documented at all times.
• Supporting the development of relationships with internal and external customers.

Key Requirements

• 2+ years' technical claims handling experience within a claims function.
• Good understanding of delegated and third-party claims management.
• Experience of working within a claims environment, ideally with exposure to specialised or complex claims.
• Recognised qualification(s) and/or good practical knowledge of the insurance regulatory framework.
• Relevant commercial experience within the general insurance industry, with an understanding of claims trends.
• Proficient in MS Office applications; Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Able to produce MI and detailed reports at various levels.
