We are looking for an experienced Motor Claims Handler to join us as a key part of our team. You will take ownership of a varied caseload, handling motor insurance claims with independence and confidence. Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our client. Location: Can be based in either our Newcastle-under-Lyme or Taunton office with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
Salary: Starting from £23,809.50pa (DOE)
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9 am - 5.30 pm, 1 hour lunch break, 37.5 hours per week.
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for handling a variety of motor claims predominantly based in the Channel Islands.
- The claim types will vary from first party motor to third party motor and property damage claims.
- Confidently address dispute claims, where liability requires being established, using your initiative to investigate and settle.
- Provide excellent customer service to customers and the client.
- Liaise with other suppliers, insurers, accident management companies, etc.
- Identify recovery opportunities and process accordingly.
- Identify and refer potentially fraudulent activity.
- Regularly review all your claims to ensure the claim journey progresses swiftly and smoothly, with interested parties kept updated.
- Positively handle complaints in line with guidelines.
What we need from you:
- Cert CII qualified or working towards is desirable.
- Previous Insurance industry experience (Motor) Motor liability.
- Previous customer service experience and experience with preventing and resolving complaints.
- Ability to identify and know how to manage claims leakage.
- Good understanding of Fraud and Recoveries processes.
