We’re looking for a hands-on Engineering Team Leader to take charge of engineering operations at a high-end private residential development in Kensington. As the go-to engineering lead on site, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the building operates flawlessly while maintaining the highest standards for residents and staff.

  • Lead and support a small on-site engineering team (2 Residence Engineers)
  • Oversee and manage M&E contractors and service providers
  • Deliver a rolling programme of planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Respond to and resolve reactive maintenance issues efficiently
  • Take ownership of contractor performance
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety standards
  • Carry out hands-on maintenance tasks when needed—this is not a desk-only role
  • Maintain and monitor key systems including: HVAC & air conditioning, BMS (Building Management Systems), Heating & hot water systems, Electrical systems (including emergency lighting), Communal areas, car parks, and plant rooms

What We’re Looking For

  • You’re an experienced, practical engineer who enjoys both leading a team and getting stuck in on the tools.
  • Proven experience in building maintenance / facilities management
  • Strong knowledge of M&E systems, HVAC, and BMS
  • Experience managing contractors and maintenance programmes
  • Background in residential developments or hotels preferred
  • Relevant qualification:
  • Electrical or Plumbing qualification
  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
  • Confident with IT systems and reporting tools
  • Strong understanding of health & safety compliance
  • Bonus points for experience with swimming pool systems
