Clacton County High School (CCHS) and the Sigma Trust are looking for a dedicated part‑time Teacher of Sociology for a fixed term until 31 August 2027. The position is based at the Sixth Form College in the Tendring Education Centre, Jaywick Lane, Clacton on Sea. FTE is flexible and negotiable.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge and be able to teach and assess effectively.
- Take responsibility for professional development and raise student achievement.
- Apply effective classroom management techniques.
- Use a range of teaching strategies and adapt to individual student needs.
- Use assessment data to evaluate learner progress and set appropriate improvement targets.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
