Salary: £31,536.03 – £35,021.78 per year pro rata

Job Description

Please note as this post is part time, your salary will be pro rata to hours worked.

To ensure the timely and accurate registrations of births, deaths and, marriages, still-births, marriages, civil partnerships and Citizenship ceremonies and advise on all other registration matters e.g., re-registration of births and change of name.

To undertake registration ceremonies and citizenship ceremonies.

To liaise with Home Office, Immigration Office, and the Registrar General for Scotland to ensure the adequacy of the service provided at all times.

To provide advice and guidance to non-British citizens planning to marry in Scotland and to scrutinise passports, visas and other documents in accordance with Immigration Control regulations.

To support provision of online certificate orders through Scottish Certificates website.

To support provision of the Local Family History Centre including Scotland\’s People service.

To support the delivery of an efficient and effective registration service.
