This role involves working with young people aged between 15 and 16 who are within 6 months of leaving school and require additional support to secure a positive destination.
To provide, as part of a team, an employability service to vulnerable people. The post holder will support clients to develop skills and confidence in order to support their progression into and through employment and remove barriers to that progression.
The post holder will work as part of a team, providing a responsive and effective employability service:
- Support and assist vulnerable clients to identify and overcome barriers to enter, sustain and progress within the labour market, overcoming social isolation, improving the quality of their lives and preventing repeat periods of unemployment;
- Help clients achieve greater independence;
- Work closely with other specialist support agencies;
- Ensure a growing focus upon the prevention of worklessness and in-work poverty.
