This post is a part time post for 17.5 hours per week. The purpose of the Justice Officer role is to support the delivery of a statutory Justice Social Work Service in line with relevant legislation, national outcomes and local policy. The role supports social workers with case management responsibilities and contributes to assessment, risk management and intervention delivery for individuals in contact with the justice system. This includes work with people subject to Bail Supervision, Diversion from Prosecution, Structured Deferred Sentence, Voluntary Throughcare and other justice pathways.
Justice Officers deliver direct interventions to individuals and small groups, contribute to risk processes, provide timely information to courts and partner agencies, and participate in multiβagency working to reduce reoffending, promote desistance and improve community safety. Work is undertaken in accordance with departmental procedures, national guidance, and partnership arrangements. The candidate will represent the Social Work Service in multi-disciplinary forums in accordance with the Council or hosted stakeholder arrangements, through a Service Level Agreement or Partnership arrangement.

Clackmannanshire Council operates a flexible hybrid approach for those roles that allow this type of working. Attendance at the office will be required to meet the needs of the business and for example to build team and stakeholder relationships. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and / or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. You will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Clackmannanshire Council.
