Lead Officers will provide leadership, vision, direction and effective management of their area fostering and encouraging a culture of high quality customer service, respect, partnership and collaboration as well as continuous improvement and innovation. Lead Officers are expected to work collaboratively with other lead officers, senior managers and Directors to support the overall strategic and operational leadership of areas ensuring that services are fit for purpose. This is a key role in the Council’s extended Management Team and lead officers will be expected to gain and maintain the credibility and trust of colleagues as well as being able to challenge appropriately.
