To provide an efficient and effective labouring service with the ability and skills to carry out all general labouring works involved within the Maintenance Service. The Operative's key functions include:

  • All types of general labouring duties
  • Driving vans, lorries, pickups etc.
  • Assisting tradesmen e.g. slaters and plumbers on roof work

As a representative of the Maintenance Service, the Operative will ensure the Council's values are promoted in every aspect of their work, with the remit to provide a seamless high-quality response to the customers' needs. The Operative will demonstrate high personal and professional standards, especially in respect of quality and customer service.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. You will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Clackmannanshire Council. Further guidance will follow in your conditional offer of employment on how to apply. Please note you will be required to pay for the cost of this application if your salary is over £38,000 per annum, which will be deducted from your first pay.
