Your role in our team:
We have an exciting new opportunity at CLAAS UK. This role involves ensuring adherence to international trade regulations, import/export laws' regulatory requirements and company policies related to customs procedures and UK reporting rules. The position is part-time for 30 hours per week.
Main Duties:
- Reporting to the VP of Customs and Foreign Trade in Germany, staying up to date with regulation changes and rules in the UK, NI and ROI, and working with the German Customs team.
- Responsible for all AEO and Customs topics, challenges and queries surrounding UK, NI and ROI.
- Interface for UK tariff coding and export control.
- Maintain and enhance compliance policies and procedures to align with regulatory expectations.
- Monitoring and reporting thereof applicable regulations with the regulators (F-Gas, FCA, ESG, PPT, EPR, AEO etc).
Your profile:
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience of compliance and customs issues in the UK, either through training or in current/previous role.
- Experience in implementing compliance monitoring programs and risk assessment.
- A proven track record to demonstrate excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
- Strong IT skills (MS Excel, Powerpoint, Word, SAP).
- The ability to communicate to staff at all levels with the Retail dealerships and CLAAS UK, to take ownership of topics.
- The ability to think outside the box and challenge when required.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise activities.
- A full UK driving licence for travel if necessary.
- Willing to travel to Germany for team building and training when required.
- You must be a UK resident to assume the AEO named person role for the UK.
