Who are we? Landpower and the CLAAS Harvest Centre network is the largest privately-owned farm machinery distribution network in Australasia. We sell and service machinery to farmers and their contractors from our locations throughout New Zealand and Australia. Our Christchurch and Melbourne offices co-ordinate wholesale activities and provide support functions. What’s the job? This is a unique opportunity to secure a high impact role where you’ll support strategic planning, continuous improvement and forecasting across the organisation. As our Commercial Analyst, you’ll be at the intersection of data, strategy and performance – developing clear and actionable insights that shape key business decisions. You’ll work closely with leaders across the business to deliver reporting and analysis that supports everything from integrated business planning and benchmarking to data governance and performance scorecards. Your work will directly influence the success of our teams across New Zealand and Australia.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide expert BI by ensuring dashboards and reports are valid, timely and accurate.
- Assist in shaping, planning and improving BI Visualisations to make decision support clearer.
- Provide clear reporting of benchmarked industry performance.
- Create commercial analysis which directly enables decision support to the business.
- Develop performance metrics in-line with the Performance Framework and various Balanced Scorecards.
- Support business planning and make recommendations to improve business performance based on insights.
Who are you? A tertiary qualified professional with a degree in Accounting, Commerce, Technology or similar. You have demonstrated experience in a Commercial Analyst or FBP position. You have at least 5 years’ experience working with a range of reporting, database and analytical tools (CRM, Excel, Crystal Reports, Tableau, Power BI, Pronto ERP system). Working knowledge of IBP or FP&A. Knowledge of business planning applications such as Workday Adaptive (preferable but not essential). Working knowledge of databases and SQL queries. You are a strong communicator and have the ability to clearly articulate commercial insights to non-finance stakeholders. A self-motivated professional with the ability to drive efficiency and improvement.
