Clifton Larson Allen (CLA) CLA Search has been retained by a well-respected heavy equipment dealer to identify an Accounting Manager to serve their team.

What You’ll Do

  • Manages daily activities in all of the organization's accounting functions, which includes cost and general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepares payroll on a timely basis, posts payroll and maintains payroll records.
  • Prepares and administers all employee benefits.
  • Manages the credit facilities including ensuring timely payoff of equipment.
  • Responsible for making the necessary sales tax filings on a monthly basis.
  • Reconciles all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures.
  • Participates in the preparation of short and long-term forecasts.
  • Maintains an effective cash management system. Forecasts cash needs.
  • Maintains the organization's general ledger, tracking assets, liabilities, expenses, and revenues.
  • Oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close and financial reporting.
  • Assists internal and/or external auditors with periodic auditing or the organization's financial records and statements.
  • Reconciles and adjusts bank accounts to manage cash flow.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in accounting/finance.
  • CPA preferred but not necessary.
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience with HR benefit deductions a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good decision-making skills.
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to foster a professional, cooperative and high-quality work environment.
