We are currently looking for an experienced Design Engineer to work with our clients' Design and Specialist team.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating, adapting and managing existing products NPI and NPD plans in accordance with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
  • Creating manufacturing process routes, methods, and technical instructions to manufacture new products.
  • Collaborating with other engineers and supply chain to define trial and production tooling, inspection processes using the latest metrology systems.
  • Developing automation and programs to produce and finish components.
  • Using a structured approach to solve problems, finding root cause and implementing and sustaining robust fixes.
  • Validating new product for use in production engines, Method Verification, attaining PPAP approval, demonstrating product quality and rate.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally with an engineering or other relevant discipline degree/HND/HNC and previous experience working in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proven record of technical problem-solving.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills and feel comfortable presenting to varied audiences.
  • Good team working skills are essential.
