Our client in the area is looking for an experienced shift multi skilled engineer with a mechanical bias, to work a 3 shift pattern, Monday to Friday.
The main responsibilities will be to:
- Attend breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
- Complete scheduled planned and preventative routines and undertake necessary corrective actions.
- Participate in investigating and correcting process, product and quality related issues.
- Help with the fault finding, diagnostic and corrective actions to maintain and improve the operation of the process equipment.
The main skills required for the role include:
- Knowledge of workshop equipment.
- Welding experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings.
- Good mechanical appreciation and knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, pistons, etc.
- Experience of working with variable speed drives AC/DC.
- Ability to plan, review and implement Continuous Improvement initiatives.
