Monday to Friday – 10 hours a week, 2 hours per day before and after school (term time only): 08:00 to 09:00 and 15:00 to 16:00. Salary – £12.21 per hour . Although this role is only during term times, the salary will be split across 12 months, so you will be paid throughout the year, including school holidays. The role of a School Crossing Patrol officer is to ensure the safety of students and families at crossing points during specific times around school hours. You will help make the road safer by ensuring cars stop at appropriate times. What will you do? Ensure the safety of families crossing at an assigned point. Operate hazard warning signs as needed. Control and direct traffic when necessary. Maintain control over families waiting to cross. Use all provided uniform and equipment for safety. Assess risks at the crossing site regularly to identify issues.
