The Role

Your day-to-day work will encompass strategic HR advisory matters, Employment Tribunal litigation, and complex exits. You'll also advise on restrictive covenants, confidentiality issues, workplace investigations, TUPE and transactional support. Expect to work closely with colleagues across the firm, delivering cross-practice, commercially focused employment solutions to an international client base.

  • Advise clients on employment documentation, policies, disciplinary processes, grievances, family friendly issues, redundancy, and GDPR.
  • Manage employment tribunal litigation, from drafting pleadings to attending hearings and case management.
  • Conduct due diligence on transactions, flagging and advising on key employment issues.
  • Draft warranties and indemnities and advise on TUPE.
  • Support senior executives in maximising severance terms on their exit.
  • Advise on employment and partnership disputes, and comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong drafting skills for both contentious and non-contentious work.
  • Experience conducting employment tribunal proceedings for both Respondents and Claimants.
  • Familiarity with employment data protection and privacy matters, including handling Data Subject Access Requests.
  • Ability to advise on transactions for both buyers and sellers, and all aspects of TUPE.
  • Expertise in employment status issues and contract drafting for services.
  • Experience with grievances, performance and disciplinary matters.
  • Understanding of dismissals in the financial services sector and relevant regulatory issues (desirable).
  • Effective presentation skills for employment training to peers and clients.
  • Business development skills, including article writing and attending networking events.

  • Qualified solicitor in England and Wales (or equivalent), with 2-4 years' PQE.
