Are you an experienced Professional Indemnity sales professional looking for a stronger platform, greater autonomy and the opportunity to build a valuable book of business? We are looking for a proven PI Development Executive or Account Executive who is currently responsible for generating and converting Professional Indemnity business.

You will have the freedom and support to develop your own portfolio across sectors including Solicitors, IFAs, Architects and Property Professionals. Opportunities can be generated through your existing network, introducer relationships, referrals, professional connections and proactive business-development activity.

Alongside a salary of up to £75,000, there is an excellent uncapped commission scheme, providing genuine earning potential as you develop your book. You will also receive matched pension contributions of up to 8%, private medical insurance, life insurance and access to a salary-sacrifice electric vehicle scheme. This is a genuine new-business role for someone who enjoys creating opportunities, winning clients and building lasting commercial relationships. You will be responsible for developing your own Professional Indemnity portfolio, identifying prospective clients and building a sustainable pipeline of new business.

You will have the autonomy to develop business in the way that works best for you, backed by the technical expertise, insurer relationships and specialist reputation of an established independent PI broker. This could include building relationships with solicitors, accountants, IFAs, property professionals, architects and other professional-services businesses, as well as developing partnerships with introducers and professional networks.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Generating and converting new Professional Indemnity opportunities
  • Building your own profitable portfolio of PI clients
  • Developing and managing a sustainable new-business pipeline
  • Prospecting and engaging with professional-services firms
  • Building relationships with introducers, professional connections and key decision-makers
  • Attending networking events and developing your presence within relevant professional communities
  • Preparing and presenting persuasive insurance proposals
  • Negotiating with insurers to secure competitive terms and appropriate coverage
  • Working closely with internal broking and technical colleagues
  • Developing long-term relationships with the clients you win
  • Identifying cross-selling, referral and organic growth opportunities
  • Contributing directly to the continued growth of the brokerage

What You’ll Need

  • Current or recent experience in a sales-focused Professional Indemnity insurance role
  • A successful track record of generating and converting new PI business
  • Strong knowledge of the Professional Indemnity market
  • Experience developing relationships with professional-services clients
  • The confidence to prospect, network and create your own opportunities
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Experience using Acturis
  • A proactive, self-motivated and results-focused approach
