A well-established manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Press Brake Setter/Operator to join their nightshift production team. This role involves setting and operating press brake machinery to produce precision sheet metal components, working to tight tolerances and high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate press brake machines, including tool changes and adjustments.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to accurately produce components.
  • Carry out routine maintenance checks to ensure equipment runs at optimal performance.
  • Work with tight tolerances to meet customer specifications.
  • Apply knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, with experience in laser/punch manufacturing using mild steel and stainless steel.
  • Demonstrate motivation, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols and adhere to quality processes to maintain a safe, efficient working environment.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in setting and operating press brake machinery (essential).
  • Proficiency in reading and working from engineering drawings.
  • Strong background in sheet metal fabrication techniques and experience with various metals.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work with tight tolerances.
  • Motivated, reliable, and able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and quality control procedures.
