CKB Recruitment is working with an ambitious insurance business in Twickenham to recruit a Motor Underwriter with experience of bespoke and niche personal lines motor insurance.
Having doubled its sales team from 25 to 50, the business is targeting a doubling of gross written premium by April 2027. It's an exciting time to join, with that growth creating opportunities for people who are keen to contribute and take on greater responsibility.
You'll work closely with the underwriting team and Director, becoming a trusted technical contact for the sales floor and helping ensure that growth is supported by sound underwriting decisions.

What you'll be doing
This role combines hands-on underwriting referrals, insurer relationships and scheme performance monitoring. You will:
Act as a key point of contact for underwriting queries from the sales team.
Assess email and internal referrals, making competent decisions within your authority and referring to insurers where necessary.
Present bespoke motor risks to insurer underwriters and agree terms.
Build and maintain productive relationships with insurer partners.
Monitor insurer loss ratios and underwriting performance, helping identify trends and areas requiring attention.
Assist with producing scheme performance data using company systems. xgikmsk
