We have a genuinely exciting role for you if you have 5+ years of commercial insurance broking experience and are looking for the next step in your career. This opportunity is suited to an experienced Account Handler who wants to move into an Exec role. Working for a forward‑thinking firm in City, you will have the chance to develop your expertise by working with mid‑market and corporate‑sized businesses with complex needs in a growth‑focused broker environment. They currently have a book of business worth £450k in income, which you will be expected to take over, manage, and grow.
Your responsibilities will include supporting key clients and reporting directly to the Account Director, with a dedicated Account Handler providing back‑office broking support. The book is primarily Professional Indemnity, focused on FinTech and Financial Services clients. We seek an ambitious, hard‑working individual who puts clients at the centre of their day‑to‑day work and is interested in working with larger clients. Full support will be provided to the right candidate to help meet their career aspirations, including funding for the CII Exam.
Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience dealing with commercial lines in a sales‑focused role. Strong technical knowledge of PI and D&O lines of business, with a solid understanding of insurer markets and placement. Intermediate knowledge of Acturis is ideal. Experience as a Senior Commercial Account Handler is also considered.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary: £55-70k, plus bonuses, with a 33% commission on all retained income over £1,500 and the same for self‑generated new business income. Performance‑based incentives.
