This role involves deal origination, structuring and execution, research and analysis, valuation, and modelling for UK and international businesses across sectors. Our client is a leading national audit, tax, advisory, and risk firm with global reach. They are part of a top 10 accounting network, with over 40,000 people across many countries. They are looking to strengthen their Lead Advisory team in Thames Valley with an Assistant Manager or Manager.
Role Overview
You will contribute within a Partner-led team, gaining exposure to diverse clients, transaction structures, and business development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage transactions from origination to completion, acting as a key client contact;
- Drive the team's business plan and build the pipeline;
- Develop a network of contacts and participate in marketing initiatives;
- Project manage transactions and ensure deal process requirements are met;
- Identify issues early and propose solutions;
- Understand mid-market deal structures and legal documentation;
- Engage with legal and specialist advisers;
- Conduct detailed research on companies and sectors;
- Prepare Information Memoranda, Business Plans, and similar documents;
- Use Excel for financial modelling, including operating, funding, and investment models;
- Manage project risks and billing;
- Participate in practice development and deal origination;
- Attend and lead client meetings and presentations;
- Participate in networking events;
- Attend relevant training sessions.
The role requirements
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent, or relevant experience in corporate finance or transaction services;
- Commercial mindset with high accuracy and diligence;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and understand business issues quickly;
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
